William’s First Chanukah 2014

We want to wish everyone who celebrates a very Merry Christmas today!  Since we obviously don’t celebrate, I thought we’d recap William’s first Chanukah 2014 since it just ended a couple of days ago.

We had lots of family time which is the best part of any holiday.

William even got to spend some time with Uncle Justin and Aunt Dana who were in town from Arizona.  William intently explored Justin’s face.

I like how they both have the hair flip thing going on. 🙂

We had lots of playdates with our buddies!  William and Wolf:

And William with his twin buddies, Asher and Sam:

We celebrated the last night of Chanukah with our good friends. It was a beautiful way to end William’s first Chanukah!

Happy holidays to all! xo

  1. Every time you’d post a picture of William and his little buddies, I kept thinking how cute it’d be if you could get them all together and swaddled up (or put in onsies) all different solid colors and line them up like the Chanukah menorah! So cute.
Anyways! Happy holidays to you my dear dear friend! Love you both!!

  2. Happy Happy Chanukah! Looks like yours was filled with family, laughter and smiles. Master William has gone from cute to cuter. That boy is all smiles. Enjoy these next few days of 2014– it’s gone by way too fast! xoxo

  3. I love your blog especially because I’m a first time mom and fitness enthusiast. For me, having a baby has been great but it’s been hard. My marriage feels different and my body feels different. You seem so happy. Do you find motherhood difficult at all? Any struggles? Any advice?

    • Thanks for your comment. 🙂 Yes, I do find motherhood incredibly challenging – especially balancing the other aspects of life. When I blog, I do focus on the positives for a couple of reasons. I don’t like to dwell on negatives, but also I don’t enjoy reading blogs that are super downer and complainy all the time. Remember, my blog is just a snippet of my life. I definitely face my own challenges just like everyone else. My advice would be to reach out to the important people in your life who are willing to help – friends and family. Whether it’s to talk, to take a walk, to watch the baby, whatever. Lean on your support system when needed. 🙂

      • PS: Congrats on that baby of yours! Being a mom is hard! Don’t forget to cut yourself some slack (you don’t have to have it all together all the time), take care of YOU, and enjoy that little bundle of love! Do you have any specific questions that I could address?

  4. Wow! Thank you! I’m just finding it so hard to find ME time and any alone time with my husband now that I’m back at work and pumping/breastfeeding. I come home and just want to go to sleep! I get so resentful towards my husband as well because he doesn’t get why I’m so tired and fall asleep when we watch TV. How do you find time for yourself, your husband, playing with your son and getting sleep?

    • Well, I certainly wouldn’t say I’ve mastered that whole balance thing! I will say, I make it a point to be in bed between 9-10 each night just because I know William will not sleep through the night and will be up early. I try and take an hour each night after William has gone to sleep for me. This usually includes blogging and computer time for me.
