25 Weeks Pregnant – A Dream

On Sunday night I had a dream that I was in the hospital and they were hooking me up to all sorts of machines as I was about to have Baby Itz.  The only thing I remember about my dream is being pretty freaked out about childbirth since I know nothing yet and texting my mom telling her I was in the hospital.  Woah!  Thank goodness I still have a few months to prepare and learn!

Speaking of dreams… this pregnancy is an absolute dream!  25 weeks pregnant, eh?  Growing by the day it seems!

25 weeks

A couple more bump pictures were posted in yesterday’s Albion Fit’s giveaway post.

Baby Itz: 25 Weeks

Baby’s size? Rutabaga – haha that makes me laugh – I don’t even really know what a rutabaga is, but Baby Itz measures around 13 1/2 inches in length and weighs a pound and a half now!  Growing boy!

Maternity clothes? Loving maternity clothes, oh my goodness, why did I not start wearing these earlier?  Plus, since I’ve graciously received maternity clothes from a couple of friends and my sister, itz like I’ve got a whole new wardrobe!  Fabulous!

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: I still like sleeping on my stomach and the doctor said itz fine, but I feel more uncomfortable with it the bigger my bump gets.  I’m also a side sleeper which is good, so I might break out the pregnancy pillow Jonny bought me months ago.

Best moment this week: My sister Stephanie has taken a bunch of pictures of me this week which is always fun.  She sure is good and I’m so grateful she makes time to snap photos of me as often as she does!  Another “best moment this week” was definitely finally deciding on baby furniture!  I was getting nervous about it; after all, itz such a big commitment, but now I’m relieved itz ordered and I feel really good about what it is.

Miss anything? Sometimes I miss sushi, runny eggs, and raw cookie dough.

Movement: YES!  Last Friday night, Jonny and I went out for Chinese food.  A couple of hours later, Baby Itz was SO active.  We could see him through my stomach with some huge kicks!

Food Cravings: Still no cravings, just digging lots of carbs.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.

Gender: BOY BOY BOY!!!!

Labor Signs: None, not that I would know what those feel like anyway!

Symptoms: When I wake up in the morning, I’m pretty stuffed up.  Itz actually been a symptom for several months, but I’ve forgotten to write about it.  After I blow my nose a couple of times when I wake up, I’m all good for the day, and apparently itz pretty common during pregnancy.

Belly Button – in or out?  In.

Wedding Rings – on or off? On!

Happy or Moody? Happy.

Looking Forward To: Officially getting the baby room ready!  Yesterday, our furniture was selected and purchased.  After several trips to a couple of furniture stores with my mom and my sister, the final decision was made.  The baby room will hopefully get painted this week, and furniture will arrive soon after.  No worries, once all is set and done, I’ll be happy to share more details.  We did buy our furniture from Treasure Rooms – a local St. Louis baby and kids furniture store.

My parents and Jonny’s parents gifted us our furniture which we are incredibly grateful for.  We are so very lucky to have such supportive, wonderful, and amazing parents.

What’s the last dream you remember?

  1. Everytime I read your pregnancy updates, I literally tear up. I know the road you’ve been on & it literally brightens my day to know you have a baby boy on the way. <3

  2. Oh the dreams I had when I was pregnant! The one I REALY remember is that I put Braiden in the cart at Walmart and then I returned the cart and forgot to take him out! I drove half way home before I remember and was so scared they would take him away from me. Dreams are crazy!

  3. Love the photos. I always loved when babies were active and you could see knees & elbows poking out — but then there was that one time that my first sumersalted to change positions and I was pretty far along — now THAT was freaky weird.

  4. I feel like you are having the best pregnancy EVER! I would miss sushi SO MUCH – however, I eat all cooked seafood when I go, so I would probably be able to eat some… That being said, I would actually probably fear for my baby’s life if I were pregnant because I do eat tons of fish – either it would be AMAZING for it’s brain thanks to all the omega-3s… Or it would be bad because of the mercury (you never REALLY KNOW if you’re eating lots of mercury, right? No labels can be trusted!!)

  5. Sounds like your pregnancy is going great! I don’t dream much now, but I used to have really vivid dreams when I was pregnant with my kids. Like so vivid it usually took me a while to realize they were dreams, not memories LOL.

  6. Oh pregnancy dreams are the best! I had a few before we knew we were having a boy that I remember clearly. One I was giving birth and they pulled out a little boy with long curly hair (which my son did not have) and one where I walked into the nursery and the baby was a walking, talking toddler… boy! So I pretty much knew it was a boy before we even found out.

  7. I keep having baby nightmares (or baby-mares as I call them) where all of a sudden I realize the baby has been born and I have barely looked at in the past 12 hours…. meaning it also hasn’t been fed. The baby is always happy and content in my dream, but I go into full panic mode!
