blogger bake sale to benefit a couple struggling with infertility

Long post title, but I wanted you to know what it was all about.  Alice from A Mama, Baby, & Shar-pei in the Kitchen reached out and asked if I would donate something to her blogger bake sale to benefit her good friends Becca & Joel who need to raise money for a procedure in order for them to have a baby.  As someone who struggled with infertility, I know all too well the pain that is endured and the costs that can be involved, and I was eager to do a small part in order to help.

The bake sale will begin at 8 am CST on Thursday, December 12th (TODAY!), and will go all day until 9 pm PST.  Each item will have a minimum bid of $20 unless otherwise noted.  I will be baking two dozen Fudge Crinkle Cookies to send (and I’ll probably throw in some extra goodies!).

Fudge Crinkles

To have an official bid on an item you must e-mail Alice at  Any bids left in the comments section will not be reviewed, only bids e-mailed will be considered official and affirmative.

Think of the bid as a silent auction of sorts. All buyers will have until 9 pm PST to submit their bid for the auction, and can bid as many times as they want.

Alice will be updating the current bids under each individual item of the bake sale throughout the day so that you can see the current high bid in hopes that this will encourage others to bid higher for the items they really want or bid for items that have not had a bid yet.

Winners by notified by email and each winner will then donate the specified amount on Becca & Joel’s fundraising page, “Baking for Life” at  Once the donation goes through, the blogger will send the baked goods to the winner by Thursday, December 19th.

The winner has 24 hours to make the online donation. If in that time frame the donation is not made, the next highest bidder will be contacted.

Please go bid on some delicious goodies and/or make a donation.  Every little bit counts!

Go check out all the wonderful goodies HERE!

Thank you.
