I’m pregnant!!!

I’m pregnant!!! Gosh, saying that will never get old!  I loved creating my announcement post and sharing our news these past few days.  I must say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kind words, prayers, support, and love throughout our journey.

Baby Itz is expected on April 30, 2014.  I have plenty more details to share, but I know that’s the answer to everyone’s burning question.  On Wednesday of this week, I’ll be fourteen weeks. (!!!)  In terms of sharing my pregnancy with you, I plan on using Tuesdays as my weekly update starting tomorrow with week thirteen (and the weeks prior since we’re just beginning).

There are so many topics I want to write about and share here, and I’ll do so little by little as to not overload you in pregnancy information all at once.  Some particular posts I’m looking forward to writing include how we told everyone we’re pregnant.  Jonny and I had a lot of fun planning creative ways to tell those in our family, and we’re saving that for itz own post.  It’ll be worth it, I promise!  Other topics I’ll cover have to do with what we think contributed to me getting pregnant, a fitness update, and my current plan.

For those of you not interested in baby bumps or other pregnancy related topics, do not fear.  I am not converting my blog entirely to a pregnancy blog.  I’m looking forward to getting back into fitness although it has and will change drastically from what I was doing before.  I’ll continue to share cool products, clothing, food, and recipes that I think would interest anyone in the healthy living world.

All of these wonderful pictures are taken by my sister Stephanie Cotta Photography.  Major thanks to her for creating our announcement pictures and all that’s more to come. 🙂

I’m linking up with Healthy Diva’s Marvelous in my Monday today because being pregnant is reason enough to celebrate all that is wonderful in life!

pregnancy announcement

I’m keeping this post short and sweet today since, honestly, I still can’t believe I’m pregnant!  It doesn’t seem real, though I know that will change very, very soon in the very best way!

What is the best / your favorite pregnancy app? Advice for a newly pregnant lady?

  1. Yay yay yay! Look what a beautiful mama you are! I loved the Baby Center app because it gave good daily updates about things going on with baby and what to expect in the coming weeks. I can’t wait to keep reading about Baby Itz! Pregnancy is such a wonderful time!

  2. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! I know how you have struggled for this! I have not been reading or doing any blog related stuff since last Thursday BUT I saw your prelim & knew this – I can’t tell you how much joy I feel for you & family!!! CONGRATS!!!

  3. I’m just one month ahead of you due March 25th!! This is such a great time to be pregnant and I couldn’t be happier for you!! My advice as someone newly pregnant myself is to just enjoy every minute of it!! I have had a rough second trimester but just keep thinking of that precious baby at the end of the pregnancy and it makes the little bit of discomfort completely worth it!! It goes by so, so quickly – so slow down and enjoy it every chance you get!!

  4. Still get tears of happiness every time I read or hear about you being pregnant!!!!

My advice, take it slow (especially with your first) and enjoy; let people help; and sleep when your baby does (I miss that); and whenever you’re in doubt ask your Mom for advice, she did an amazing job with her babies (and your sis is rocking this Mom thing as well)!

Lots of love and I’m soooo excited to see a bump!!!!!!

  5. Congrats! I am so happy I just stumbled upon your blog! I am due April 25! So exciting. I like the My Pregnancy and the What to Expect apps. I have also downloaded Totally Pregnant which follows a vlogger week by week.

Can’t wait to read your updates 🙂

  6. Pregnancy apps? They have those? Of course they do! But my pregnancies long pre-date smart phones, so I have none to share…

My best advice–just be good to yourself during this special time. I know you will, but I like to remind prego ladies to do it.

  7. Marvelous for sure, your best MIMM post ever! Congrats again! I can’t wait to read all the updates and more!

My favorite apps were Baby Bump pro and the What to expect app!

    Love ya girl!

  8. ok so i just want you to know that i am so happy for you sis that even if itzlinz DID turn into a pregnancy blog i’d be all over it 😉 uhm ok so i wished i was your neighbour prior to the baby news, but now… omg omg omg omg. can i just fricken move in already?! please babe. lol i am so effing happy for you i just can’t help but scream! 😀 love you so much and can’t wait for more stories!

  9. You are glowing! So happy for you and this little bundle of joy! I’ve had a feeling for a while and knew it was only a matter of time before you spilled the beans. I’m looking forward to your updates and back posts. 🙂 Congratulations again!!!!

  10. We are exactly 1 week apart! On Wednesday I’ll be 13 weeks, and I’m due May 7th! How fun! Will be fun to follow your progress!

  11. Congratulations! I, too, have battled infertility and it’s not fun. Luckily, I got pregnant that month before our planned IVF and am due May 30th.! Can’t wait to hear more about your journey!

    • Well, congrats to you!! Timing is a funny thing, isn’t it? I’ve always said it will happen when itz meant to be and looks like that’s true! 🙂

  12. Congratulations!!! This is the best news ever! I can’t even imagine how ecstatic you must be! I’ve been struggling with infertility for almost 2 years now and this post just gave me hope! I know that everyone is different but my symptoms and hormone issues seem very similar to yours so I can’t wait to hear about what you think may have worked for you!

  13. Like you and your husband, we struggled to get pregnant and now have an almost 5 month old! Cherish every single pregnancy moment, good or bad, because it is THE best experience ever! It will go by so very fast and although you’ll love holding that little one, you’ll miss pregnancy (I still do). Congrats to you both!!!

  14. Oh and to each their own, but NOT finding out the gender when we were pregnant was the best decision…..life isn’t full of many surprises and this is the best surprise ever!!
