What would YOU do if I showed up on your doorstep with a box full of Harry and David Chocolate Covered Strawberries?

Let me explain.  Julianne from Harry and David e-mailed me asking about my thoughts on chocolate covered fruit.  In return, she sent me two dozen chocolate covered strawberries!  My thoughts? AMAZING!  Truly, my initial thought was, “Wow!  This would make an unbelievable gift to send someone!”  I’m really bad at wrapping gifts, so when the strawberries arrived in a beautiful box with a bow, I immediately knew this would make a fantastic gift.  And the strawberries themselves?

Absolutely delicious!  But they’re unhealthy… surely you don’t eat them??  No, no, my friends.  While I get this comment all too often, healthy living is all about balance.  A balance of exercising, working, and eating.  While I do try to eat healthy most of the time, I definitely LOVE to indulge in sweets!  Do I eat dessert every meal of every day?  Of course not.  That would not be balance.  But a sweet treat here and there, and even sometimes everyday?  Yes.

Yes, my friends, that’s balance.  My goal is to eat healthy most of the time because that’s what makes me feel good.  Balance also means moderation.  While I could have eaten an entire box of chocolate covered strawberries, I did not.  For not would not have been balance or moderation!  So since I had 24 enormous, beautiful, delicious chocolate covered strawberries in my hands, I did what any person would do: I shared the goodness with my family!

  2. I’ve had the Harry and David pears before and OMG they are delicious! I haven’t tried their chocolate covered strawberries but I would love to! That and their famous moose munch… :)

  17. It was hard to decide but I could not spend anymore time looking, drooling over items on the Harry & David’s website. I decide the next thing I saw that I wanted to order right then would be what I put here – the Crater Lake Gift Basket Classic.

  31. Yum! And such beautiful packaging, which is fantastic because I’m also not that gifted in the wrapping department (pun intended ;) ). All of their gift baskets look amazing, though I’ve got to go with their chocolate dipped fruit gifts! I love chocolate caramel dipped apples and chocolate covered strawberries. :)
