I’m proud to announce two things:
- 1) I will be running the Nike Women’s Half Marathon!
- 2) Yurbuds is an official sponsor of ME and the race!
The half marathon is this Sunday, October 14th and will take place in San Francisco. Yes, the course is hilly, but manageable, and the view is breathtaking and spectacular. (So I hear.) I’m excited to run my eighth half marathon with several other FitFluential Ambassadors. We’ve partnered up with Yurbuds and were graciously sent a pair of their Inspire Sport Earphones along with some other goodies.
The swag included a pair of Yurbuds (which I tested out about ten minutes after opening the box!), a Luna bar in white chocolate macadamia flavor (yum!), a Yurbuds Sweaty Band (the only kind that stay on my head!), and an Inspire towel! Literally right after I opened the box (and snapped a few pictures!), I laced up my sneakers and headed out for a run.
(I thought it was only appropriate to wear some of my Nike gear with this upcoming race just days away!) Some quick facts about Yurbuds:

I was eager to try the Yurbuds. Afterall, I had still been rocking headphones that wrap around my head. I couldn’t ever do bud-like earphones because they never.stayed.in.my.darn.ears! I have small ears and have tried several brands without success. After five-miles of pavement pounding…
I LOVE THEM! Not once did I fidget, adjust, fuss, wiggle, or mess with the Yurbuds! They stayed put in my ears, were comfortable, and played my tunes throughout my run. I am thoroughly impressed!
Actually, when I turned on my iPod, music came blasting through the Yurbuds and I needed to turn the volume down quite a bit. This proves two things – 1) how poor my previous headphones must have been and 2) how great the sound is in Yurbuds.
It only took one run for me to fall in love with Yurbuds. Think itz weird to fall in love with earphones? Try Yurbuds and you’ll see what I mean. (Especially those of you with small ears! But they do come in different sizes, so they work for everyone.) I’m going to rock the Nike Women’s Half Marathon… with my beloved new Yurbuds! 5 days…

These headphones sound amazing! I have used a bunch of different pairs and I have yet to find ones that stay in my ears without having to adjust them a million times. Good luck on your Half!

I’ve never tried them out. I don’t really listen to music when I run, so that’s prob a good reason why haha. Good luck this weekend girl! Can’t wait to hear about it

I also have small ears. I use my apple iphone headphones now but sometimes they fall out. I can’t wait to try these yubuds! (: The Luna bar in white chocolate macadamia flavor sounds sooooooo good! Good Luck at the half!

I’ve heard a great deal about them! I love the sweat (and germ) resistant! It’s hard for me to keep my buds in…I have yet to find a pair that stick!

I can’t wait to get mine!!! I have the Apple earbuds and hate them! They fall out and they make my ears hurt. I’m hoping yurbuds work for me! Good luck at the half…I would love to run that one!

Those look like a wise investment! I hate readjusting my headphones mid-run/ workout… And unfortunately I seem to have to do all too often! The pink color doesn’t hurt either

Congratulations Lindsay! I ran the Nike Womens Full Marathon back in 2010, but kinddaaa wish I did the half. About 75% of the participants do the half and after the 13 mile mark the course became very empty. Regardless, it was a GREAT race and course which I’m sure you will LOVE!

I’ve never heard of those earbuds before but they sound good! I keep on buying cheap ones that keep on breaking – I think it’s about time I invest in a better pair haha.

Good luck at the NWM! The yurbuds look like they really do stay put. Lately I’ve been having issues with my headphones coming out so I’m glad there is something out there that addresses that.

I can’t wait to get mine in the mail! I’ve been wearing the ones that come standard with an iPhone and they are literally falling apart (the rubber on the earbud is shredded), and only the right one really works. The sound out of the left is barely there! I am constantly adjusting them because they keep falling out
