Since itz a long weekend and today still counts as the weekend, I figured I’d continue the Instagram themed weekend post. (Instagram follow: ItzLinz) For starters, Jonny and Zoey did change from their Miami gear to their Mizzou wear just before the game.
Gotta love Mizzou family pictures. By the way, my shirt does NOT say “Only ate Missouri fans.” It reads, “I only date Missouri fans.” Glad we got that cleared up. And itz a good thing because Mizzou brought home a marvelous home opener! Just in time for today’s Marvelous Monday with Diva Katie.
My Facebook friends already saw this picture, but I must write about it today because I had an absolutely marvelous workout on Sunday. I started off by busting my butt on the treadmill to get in my one-mile. I felt really good, so I kept increasing the speed on the treadmill until it reached 9.0, and finished my mile in just under 7 minutes! Then, I took a spin class with my friend Diana, and covered 15 miles. After spin, Diana, her fiance Andy, and I did this shoulders, triceps, and calves workout.
Total goofballs, but I guess that’s what working out for 2+ hours will do to ya! The rest of Sunday was pretty low-key until the evening when we went to DiAndy’s (Diana + Andy) for a Labor Day get together. I made Pepperoni Pizza Puffs again (The Lean Green Bean recipe), but this time I made two different batches. The regular recipe plus a batch of spicy green pepper puffs!
I didn’t use the mini muffin tray because a) I don’t have any, and b) I found it to be a bit of a pain last time. Instead, I just plopped the dough down on cookie sheets and made pizza cookies! For the second batch I subbed the turkey pepperoni for green pepper and sriracha. They definitely had a kick, but were enjoyed by all – there were about 50 to start and 2 left by the end… And 12 people were there. You do the math.
It was a really fun night. Here are some lovely Instagram pix:
My friends are marvelous and so is the game Apples To Apples. We had some ridiculous combinations, and were pretty much dying of laughter. So fun. And one last picture because Andy was unhappy about our gym picture since I took it in the mirror and he appeared to be batting left-handed. (Normally, I wouldn’t think anyone would have noticed or paid any attention, but naturally Jonny commented on it. Boys. Besides, who strikes a batting pose at the gym??) Here’s the redo:
Happy, Andy? I guess if you won’t do handstands, then
gym batting poses will do just fine. Oh and by the way, I’m off to spontaneously jump in a 10K race this morning. Unplanned. Hope it goes well!
What was marvelous about your weekend? Favorite party game?
