OhmygoshIdiscoveredthebestflavorofproteinpowderever! Ok, let me back up for a minute. I’m sorry, I just can’t hardly contain my excitement. I’ll try. Lisa from Nutrition Fix contacted me and wanted to introduce me to a new online sports nutrition and fitness store. I began perusing the website and noticed their large variety of vitamins, supplements, high-protein and pre-workout mixes.
Instantly, I searched “cake batter” because I had heard there was a protein powder in this flavor, but everywhere I had looked it was sold out. I was in luck as something popped up.

CytoSport Muscle Milk in Cake Batter Flavor. Lisa and I emailed back and forth several times because I wanted to ensure that this protein powder would meet my needs. She assured me that it would and a container was soon on its way to my belly house.
The first time I tried the cake batter protein was in a smoothie. I combined one scoop with ice, vanilla almond milk, ground flaxseeds, chia seeds, and sprinkles.
And more sprinkles on top. This literally tasted like cake batter! I needed no additional sweetener as this was naturally sweet enough on its own (just 2 grams of sugar per scoop). It also packs a nice protein punch with 16 grams per scoop. Yum! I couldn’t wait to experiment with the powder, so soon after I made one of my protein pancakes with protein frosting.
I mixed raspberries with the protein frosting and this combination was like eating cake for breakfast. Except it wasn’t and it was healthy and it was packed with protein. Love.
One night I was in the mood for dessert, but didn’t want to go out and didn’t have a lot of ingredients in the house to make pseudo ice cream or anything of the sort. Then I remembered Meg had recently done a vlog on how to make protein fudge. Meg always has good ideas, but this one is freakin’ GENIUS!
How delicious does that look? Seriously. All it contains is one scoop of the cake batter protein powder, water, and sprinkles. BEST.DESSERT.EVER! It has a fudgey consistency with a cake batter taste. I’m obsessed. Some nights I may crave a little chocolate…
So I add some chocolate chips. And it becomes even more amazing than before. Doesn’t it look like ice cream? It’s better than ice cream because it’s cake batter and we all know this is my all-time favorite flavor. It’s a must-get flavor during every fro-yo occasion. Like here. And here. And here. I’m not kidding when I say that this is by far and away, the very best tasting protein powder in the world. It tastes like the real deal.

Cake Batter protein powder is out of this world! I’ve never had this brand but MetRx has a cake batter too. I don’t buy it because I don’t eat artificial sweeteners but ohhh my, what a treat!
Hmm maybe I’ll have to give MetRx a chance too!!
