Cheers To Saturday

Weekends are always awesome because… well, itz the freakin’ weekend.  Cheers to the freakin’ weekend!  (Rihanna, anyone?)  Today is especially awesome for two main reasons.

Number one:  Some of you have noticed the Bootcamp button on the right of my page.

I have officially joined Best Body Bootcamp!  It is a challenge open to everyone who wants to stay motivated to workout and a chance to join an amazing community to support you along the way.

Tina (our lovely host) states: “This will NOT be a challenge of who loses the most weight or who is “strongest, leanest, or most fit”. This will be a personal challenge to take better care of yourself and live healthier and happier. For that reason, each participant will have the option to pick up to two other goals to work towards in addition to the workouts.”

Goals can include things like drinking ___ amount of water each day, practicing yoga ___ times each week, etc.  I think it will be a fun way to stay motivated, set tiny goals, take my fitness to a whole new level.  Tina will email the workouts to all of the participants.  Since I am in the middle of doing the LiveFit training program, I will finish that and then pick up with BBB’s workouts when it’s done.  It’s just $25 to enter (and ANYONE can enter – you don’t have to have a blog!), you receive a variety of workouts designed by a fitness professional, and you get to “meet” lots of people who have the same goal in mind as you: healthy, happy living!  Oh, the best part?  There are tons of prizes along the way and a MAJOR cash prize at the end!

Number two: My second exciting thing for today is that I just pre-ordered Caitlin’s newest book: Operation Beautiful for Best Friends.

As you know, I am a third grade teacher.  I think this book will be a wonderful resource to some of my young girls.  Each year I have been teaching, it seems as though “girl drama” becomes more prevalent and it surprises me since I teach such a young age.  I am hoping to be able to share this book with my girls and instill some of the values Caitlin discusses in her book.

So powerful, right?  I think so.  That’s why I’m super happy about today.  Best Body Bootcamp.  Operation Beautiful.  I coached our first soccer game of the season this morning.  (We lost, but the girls played really well!)  There will be some laundry and house cleaning taking place today.  Cousins are in town, so we will have some family time this evening.  Cheers to Saturday!  And the freakin’ weekend!

    • it’s sad. 🙁 i don’t remember it starting that early either… i’m thinking/hoping the operation beautiful will give me more tools and resources to help support the young girls.
