It has been a crazy week trying to get back into the swing of things after our San Diego vacation. We got in town late Monday night, so we did not unpack and, instead, went right to sleep. Our two suitcases sat in our front hallway all day on Tuesday. And Wednesday. And Thursday. Well, part of Thursday. Yesterday after school I finally went grocery shopping and, after dinner, I unpacked one of the suitcases and started the laundry. That is progress! I hate unpacking. Like a lot. I love packing, but despise unpacking. Plus, I had this cute little girl begging me to play since we neglected her during our five-day-getaway.
“Neglected” is hardly a word I would use to describe how Zoey was taken care of when we were away. She stays at my in-laws with their dog, Paris, and Zoey’s brother, Zorro. This picture was sent to us mid-trip to assure us that she was getting the royal treatment and taking over the bed at night as usual. My princess. 🙂
Anyway, on the working-out front I have been a bit sporadic this week due to the crazy schedule. However, I have gotten in the workouts that I have needed and have let my body rest. Week 2 of LiveFit Trainer is identical to Week 1, so that made it easier since I was more familiar with the routines. Here is what my week looked like:
- Sunday: Day 1
- Monday: Rest due to traveling
- Tuesday: Rest due to exhaustion
- Wednesday: Day 2
- Thursday: Day 3
- Friday: Day 4
It has felt good to get in four days of weights in one week for the second week in a row. I have mentioned before that I want to start lifting on a more regular basis, but feel that time constraints restrict me. Days 2, 3, and 4 have all been done before school because I knew that was going to be the only time I had to workout in the day. I definitely have not gotten in as much cardio this week as I am used to, but I’m fine with it. I’m excited to begin Week 3 because there will be some changes to the workout plan.
Tonight will include some family time over at my rents with this little man:
And this little lady:
Big Friday night here, people. Jonny and I are wild and crazy! Actually my sister and brother-in-law will be hanging out, too, but they’re not near as cute as the little ones. A low-key night is just what we need after a busy week. We are looking forward to it. 🙂
What are your Friday night plans?
